Brad's Bio

Brad has 50 years combined experience in retailing, corporate training, publishing, and software development. He has worked in large and small companies, started two of his own businesses, worked as a senior executive in two other startups. He is currently the Publisher of the Fairfield Weekly an online newspaper serving the people of Fairfield, Iowa and Jefferson County. He is also the CEO of Groundbreaking Press.

Brad has had at least seven distinct careers in five different industries:

Retailing: sales, store management, buyer, merchandise manager
Human Resources: corporate training and development
Computer Software Development and Sales: computer games producer, VP product development, publisher
Publishing: audiobooks, computer software, books, editor, publisher, graphic design, sales
Education: international lecturer, workshops, university adjunct professor, course designer

Brad is a practitioner/scholar, using the skills and knowledge he has learned, to amass a remarkable record of accomplishment over the past 30 years. In addition to the numerous training programs he developed as founder of three major corporate training departments( Mervyn's, Atari, Activision), he has given workshops and seminars on leadership and negotiation internationally, produced more than 50 videos, 12 audio books, over 100 consumer and business software products, and he's edited an(d published over 70 books. He is the inventor of Computer Card Solitaire, the producer of Shanghai, and was involved in the licensing of Tetris.

Brad's amazing ability to complete projects on time and on budget, plus his creative management style, caught the attention of Tom Peters (In Search of Excellence), who then featured Brad in his book, Liberation Management.

Brad is an expert in many critical areas of business from customer service to the management of technology. He is an international speaker, presenting talks and seminar/workshops in a broad spectrum of subjects including, team building, and effective leadership, creativity, negotiation, project management, the management of technology, and storytelling as a change agent.

Brad has also written and published 23 articles in three influential websites: Breitbart's Big Peace (8),  American Thinker (2), and America's Right (13).

Brad holds a Master's Degree in Futuristics. His speech, "Earthward Implications of Cosmic Migration," was given at the American Astronautical Society's proceedings in honor of the tenth anniversary of Apollo 11's landing on the moon. He has been a featured speaker on radio programs throughout the United States on future trends in our society, focusing on unusual developments in medicine and virtual reality, humanity's move into space, and extinction-level events.

Brad and his wife, Barbara Foley, live in the exceptional, small, college town of Fairfield, Iowa. Even with his hectic schedule, Brad finds time to pursue his varied interests and hobbies.
