Dear Silver Teardrop
by
Ainsley Chernek

Dew on the leaves-
Have you no fears?
Peacefully you sit,
On leaves of any season.

Yet gazing at you
I still wonder
What might you fear,
What dangers- for you- lurk near?

Is it falling off the leaf
That you so dearly cling?
Or, is it hearing the piper song
From the ever burning sun?

Or do you peaceful sitter,
not worry about such things
like falling or evaporating.

Are you just you till the end?

If so, I have much to thank you for.

So now silver teardrop
What say you to the day?
I hope it greets your beauty,
In every single way.
